Photos on the Branch Line
Trestle on the branch line from Crawford up to Summit.
It was "stick- built" from scratch by club member Ralph Edwards.
Another view illustrating the completed scenery in this area.
A West Central C-2 class Consolidation eases her train over the woodern trestle on a dark,
dreary, late afternoon back in 1938.   Loco is a Bachman Spectrum.
The arch bridge on the branch line.  A modified Lifelike kit constructed by
club member Dennis Hamilton.  He also did the background painting of the
forest, upper lake and waterfall.  Ralph Edwards modeled the lower lake and
rock areas.  He also made the trees from his wife's flower bed.
The Consolidation #1217 begins crossing the arch bridge.  The engine was painted and numbered for the West Central by Dennis Hamilton.

A Union Pacific praire type 2-6-2.  Pulls its train from Summit down to
Crawford on the West Central branch line (yet un-named).   The locomotive
is a Model Die Casting kit built and painted by club member Wally Schuster.

The UP Praire gets a great view over the steel arch bridge.

The smoky little praire-type emerges from a tunnel on the branch line
from Summit down to Crawford.  It looks like they are burning some
real nasty coal today!

Two trestles over Redwood Gulch on the West Central Model Railroad.
The upper wooden trestle is on the branchline.  The lower steel and
concrete trestle is on the West Central mainline.
The little Consolidation emerges from the tunnel and onto the wooden trestle
on the branch line up to Summit.
